i’m pleased to announce that our fourth release and third full-length ‘FORTRESSES’ is being released on september 1st in canada and october 1st in the u.s. on white whale records (distro by outside in canada and carrot top in the states). uk & europe will probably be early 2010. it was recorded and produced by larry crane (stephen malkmus, elliott smith) and dave draves (julie doiron, kathleen edwards) in the spring and summer of 2008 and features all of the octoberman band’s usual suspects plus a few special guests. more info and tourdates to come…

We had a blast doing the Western White Whale 5 Year Anniversary shows the other week.
