We had a real blast playing our good friend Marc, aka octoberman a few weeks back! We were honoured to join Marc on one of his new numbers, the beautiful “run from safety.”  I tell you the new album sounds so good, will surely make some waves when it comes out!

Also we will be playing next Saturday, February 3 at Mavericks with local singer-songwriter Mark Wilson - be sure to come and check it out!

OctoberVanna + Magnetophone Remix

Marc spends all today co-hosting XM’s the verge 52 with Leake, playing some his favourite tunes and laughing at Leake’s jokes! If you have XM, check it ou!

We’ve also just got the word back that the UK’s amazing Magnetophone (on 4AD records), has agreed to remix one of the Octoberman tracks off of the as of yet unreleased ‘Run From Safety’. Check their music out here.

Poorfolk on Afghanistan compilation

Poorfolk’s song “topple the pride” has been included as part of a compilation entitled “Afghanistan…On Guard for Thee?” It’s a 3 CD collection of Canadian artists put together by Lewis Melville and Dave Clark to help foster a dialogue on Canada’s current mission in Afghanistan. It features songs by The Acorn, Vish Khanna, Josh Finlayson, among others. For more information
